Who are the teachers? Do the teachers have a California Teaching Credential?
Math Enrichment + More’s staff is composed of California-credentialed teachers from various school districts throughout the Bay Area and San Diego County.
How many children are there per class?
Classes are usually limited to 25 students. However, some classes may have one or two additional students due to extenuating circumstances. There is typically one teacher and one or two teaching assistants in each class, giving us a ratio of around 10 to 1 in each class. Our Kinder and first-grade classes have one teacher and two or three teaching assistants for 20 to 25 students.
What are the school hours?
Classes begin at 9:00 AM, and students are dismissed at 3:00 PM. Students can arrive each day as early as 7:45 AM and be picked up as late as 6:00 PM.
Do you have morning and after-school care, and is there an extra charge?
The Before School care is from 7:45 AM to 9:00 AM at NO CHARGE to our working parents. A FREE early drop-off will save our working parents up to $150 versus other summer programs in the area. Our after-school care is from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the cost of $2.50 every 15 minutes or $10.00 per hour.
WE HAVE SIBLING DISCOUNTS FOR AFTER-SCHOOL CARE!! THE SECOND CHILD WILL SAVE 20%. IF YOU NEED CARE EVERY DAY AFTER SCHOOL, YOU WILL RECEIVE A 25% BULK DISCOUNT OFF EACH CHILD.
Is lunch provided at school each day?
If students do not choose to bring a bag lunch from home, they will be able to purchase lunch through the program. We will provide hot options and snacks from local vendors. Lunch combos can be purchased each day for $8.00 (this will include a hot item, two snacks, and a drink). WE WILL ALSO HAVE A SNACK BAR TO PURCHASE ITEMS DURING BREAK OR LUNCH TIME.
If parents wish to purchase lunches in advance, they can buy lunch tickets to give to their children each day. We will be posting a lunch menu on our website in May. This will give you enough time to decide if you would like to purchase lunch during the summer.
Is Math Enrichment + More an Accredited Program?
If I leave for a week or two on vacation, can I receive a tuition discount?
Math Enrichment + More is not a weekly program but can offer a weekly tuition rate. Our tuition rate is lower than any other program in the area. As a result, the weekly will be higher for those students missing time. Our staff will be more than happy to work with you and your child to provide all class work completed during your absence, and our staff will assist your child with making up any missing math exams on their return.
I have multiple children that I would like to send to Math Enrichment + More. Is there a family discount available?
Yes, there is a discount for signing up multiple siblings. A second child will receive a $50 discount, and a third child will receive a $75 discount. Each child after the third will also receive a $75 discount. Please share your PHONE NUMBER or EMAIL ADDRESS on your confirmation email with any friends or family that have NEVER attended Math Enrichment + More and receive a referral discount of $100 per family. There is no cap on the number of new families you can refer to the program. Each new family will provide a $100 referral discount.
What does my child need to bring on the first day?
Nothing but a great attitude and a willingness to learn! All necessary materials will be provided on the first day – curriculum, textbooks, school supplies, and a Math Enrichment + More t-shirt.
Is there homework?
There will be NO homework assignments. However, class assignments that are not finished during the time allotted during the day will be recommended to be completed at home. In addition, it is recommended that students take time to study the material learned in class, particularly before an exam. This is mainly for our all-day middle or high school math classes. Our All Day Math Classes final grade is solely based on the exams taken after each chapter and the final exam.
How can I keep up to date with my child′s progress?
If your child is taking a math class, simply provide the program with an email address that you check regularly. After every test, you will receive an individualized email containing your child’s test results and their current grade in the class. Elementary-level students will take home a Friday Folder containing assignments completed and graded during the week. Of course, if you are looking for additional information, you may contact your child’s teacher directly or contact our 24-hour customer service at 408-667-9277. Our staff is here to help keep you updated on your child’s progress.
What is the refund policy?
The $400 deposit is Non-Refundable, but if you have to cancel after signing up, you may apply $300 to next year’s fees. The $100 processing fee is non-refundable. After the program begins, NO REFUNDS will be given. Parents have until June 1, 2023, to decide if they would like to cancel.
After June 1, 2023, the $400 is completely Non-Refundable. ANY FEES PAID ABOVE $400 WILL BE REFUNDED BACK TO YOUR ORIGINAL FORM OF PAYMENT.
After the start of the program, no refunds will be provided. IF THE PROGRAM IS CANCELED BECAUSE OF ANY COVID RELATED ISSUES, ALL FEES WILL BE FULLY REFUNDED. YOUR REGISTRATION FEE IS SAFE WITH MATH ENRICHMENT + MORE. PLEASE REGISTER WITH CONFIDENCE.
